Bring Your Clone to the Digicam Pop-Up Store in Soho
Tuesday, November 8, 2005, by Jeremy

Not to be left out of Soho's pop-up retail mini-trend, Kodak is flogging its new Wi-Fi digicam all this month in a storefront at 102 Wooster St. near Spring. (There's one in SanFran, too.) But the here-today, gone-tomorrow Kodak One Gallery won't even be dangling a toe into the frigid waters of December: It closes Nov. 27. As they say on days of voting like this one, shop early and often! Oh, and no, we have no idea why blond men in dark slacks and white shirts are drawn to this store in high numbers. Blame graphic design malaise?

you know, they don't actually SELL anything at this kodak store. it's just to go in and poke around, try things out, and see bands and stuff at night, cause they have events and parties there.
Kinda like the Samsung EXPERIENCE uptown, I guess. Welcome to the brave new world of branding where they tease you with the goodies then make you buy it elsewhere.
On Saturday they were basically giving away free use of their Kodak photo printing machines--the ones they have in grocery stores and stuff--and people were lining up to dump their digital cameras and cell phones at get a bunch of free prints. It was supposed to be limited to 25, but there was no enforcement, so the store isn't entirely useless.
