Three-Legged Dog near Ground Zero
Tuesday, February 14, 2006, by Lockhart

Photoblogger Will Femia, who continues to forsake sleep and hygiene to document the changing landscape downtown, snaps the first post-plywood pictures we've seen of the 3-Legged Dog performance space opening soon on Greenwich Street adjacent to the WTC Site. (Oddly, the LMDC is considering tearing down the building in a few years, but hey, looks cool now.) A nifty rendering of the interior of the 280-seat theater designed by architect Thomas Leeser after the jump, and more construction pix at the 3-Legged Dog site.

Looks like an entrance to a Star Wars set.
If that photo was taken during the blizzard i would have sworn it was the entrance to the base on Planet Hoth.
WHERE ARE THE TAUNTAUNS?
So this site might be closed down by the LMDC. God forbid there is a project that goes forward in the area that does not involve public monies lining Silverstein's pockets. Unless this "artspace" signs an loyalty oath that all productions must be signed off by the victims of 9/11, it should it be allowed to exist. I thought that all art in the area must swear allegiance to the Global War on Terror and eternal navel gazing of the American Empire.
Have the rules changed, I thought that only shopping malls pay propery homage to the victims of 9/11?
MTA says they have no intention of allowing the building to be taken down.
