Celebrity Real Estate Wrap: More Dean St. Starpower

1) Is Dean Street the new Hollywood Hills? Hey, why not? It's got Heath Ledger and Michelle Williams, and now just a half-block over, Emily Mortimer is moving into a 25-foot-wide townhouse she bought for $2.45 million, the same Dean St. townhouse that was an open-house mob scene a little while back. According to the broker, the house has a semi-circular addition on the back that looks like a spaceship, so for all you Ledger stalkers out there, find the UFO and then walk until you see the house with the three-car garage. 2) Law & Order's Jesse L. Martin is pictured in the ad campaign for the Atelier condo on far West 42nd Street, but that doesn't mean he'll actually be living there, of course. Martin just bought the adjoining penthouse in his Warren Street building for $1.9 million. He bought the other penthouse in 2003 for $1.64 million, and now he'll have 360-degree views, two fireplaces and four bedrooms. [Braden Keil/Gimme Shelter]
3) If Bobby Abreu does indeed get traded to the Yankees or Mets, at least he'd already have a place to live. And if he becomes a Yankee, he'd have a car pool buddy in Johnny Damon. [The Real Estate]
4) A developer is trying to steal artist Chuck Close's natural light on Bond Street, blocking his windows with a thin retail extension of a residential project. If the developer wins approval, Close says he's skipping town. [Villager]
5) Just in case you missed it on Friday, head Soprano James Gandolfini is part of an investment group that wants to build a seven-story residental building at 415 Washington Street in Tribeca. There's community opposition o' plenty, of course. [Curbed]

ah, that would explain why mortimer was dining at bar tabac a few weeks ago: house hunting.

I was riding in a cab up Lafayette--I live on Spring, very close to Bond--and saw a man outside an undeveloped building in a wheelchair that in passing looked remarkably like Close. That guy's incredible. I guess this means I saw him.
