Development Du Jour: SoHa 118

We have the SoHo 118 website playing in the background right now, and we'll be damned if we get that music out of our head before New Year's. Do dee-dee-dee do-do. Do dee-dee-dee do-do. Unfortunately, that's about the only sensory gift we got from the Harlem development's website. Elliman, which is marketing the complex, was gracious enough to provide the photo above. According to the broker, the 14-story building at 118th and Frederick Douglass will be the tallest structure between 125th and Central Park. Alas, applications are no longer welcome. The best info comes from the city (warning, pdf), which says prices for the 39 affordable units in the 118th and Frederick Douglass building will be in the 200s. Open fall 2006! Judging from blogger Joe Schumacher's progress report after the jump, it's going to be one hell of a busy day.

I live in a Columbia dorm with a view of this area similar to that in the last photo...I've seen about 5-7 buildings go up this semester alone, and when I walked down there EVERYTHING was under renovation.
