Some news from Grand and Driggs, where the property at 225 Grand is slated to become some kind of tall building. Like others keeping tabs on demolitions and developments in the South Slope and Dumbo, turns out the neighbors have cameras and have them trained on the building where pre-demolition work (and asbestos removal) has started. Our tipster writes:

The latest development on the Driggs and Grand smackdown. It seems that the permitless desperados have started scoring the roof of the one story building, that is until their machine crapped out. Neighbors on Fillmore received a letter from the construction company recently saying that destruction of the warehouse and apartment building next door was imminent. How to keep the DOB away? Put up an asbestos removal sign.
