1) She came, she designed, they sold. The Donatella Versace "black" and "white" model apartments have been snapped up, reports New York's S. Jho Ro. The price tags were $6.9 million and $12.5 million, Versace decor not included. [Intelligencer]

2) A while back you found out that Martin Scorsese's East 62nd Street townhouse, complete with "gentleman's dressing room," sold. Now the details get filled in. What stunned me about bullet point 1) is that after closer reading, the smaller $6.9 MM dollar Donatella Versace model at the Plaza that sold is a 1,212 square foot - one bedroom!

I'm thinking this must be (or be close to being) the most expensive one bedroom (sub 1,250 s.f.) apartment ever sold in the city, no?

When I think what you can/could buy for about $7MM in Manhattan, well, someone will have to sit me down and explain this one to me. For the life of me, I just don't understand this.
