CurbedWire: Crunch Getting Company on Lafayette, Luquer Still Standing Tall, More

EAST VILLAGE—Back in April, no one took the bait on the rumbling at 402-408 Lafayette, the building that houses Crunch Gym and not much else. Now, an update: "Today workers put up the structure (above). They said they were putting up one more floor... Just looked at the Dept of buildings files on this building and they have an active complaint – let these pictures put the below question to rest – THEY ARE BUILDING." [CurbedWire Inbox]

CARROLL GARDENS—A Luquer addict writes: "With the huge buzz here in Carroll Gardens of 360 Smith St., how come 100 Luquer has been ignored. Depending on what sites you check out on-line this building is going to be between 11-15 stories. And apparently, each floor is going to be big. With 4.5 floors done this building is nearly as tall as the 6 story building that is right next door (unless you go by the artist rendition, hah). Does you guys have an update on this?" Yep, still ugly. [CurbedWire Inbox]

WEST VILLAGE—CurbedWire follow-up! "I saw foundation testing equipment in front of the commercial building on Washington between Perry/Charles. The space at the Perry corner which was occupied by a messenger service has been vacated over 6 months...I know Massey Knakal repped the space where the Yoga studio moved in....but I don’t see a lot of traffic there either, so perhaps the tipster last week was right about a new venture (boutique hotel?) for the property." [CurbedWire Inbox]

UPPER WEST SIDE—About this West 93rd Street 2BR listing, an emailer writes, "Using cute dog to sell apartment?" Awwwww, look at the little guy! [CurbedWire Inbox]

Re: the UWS listing-- better pets than plants, cuz that apartment appears to have virtually no natural light!
