I agree the hipster is an endangered species. They do not reproduce fast enough and their habitat is threatened by the ubiquitous i-banker more commonly referred to as douche bag and the trust fund retard

Heh, people that were not native to New York, came from someone else were much more likely not to stay in the city for a long period of time while those that lived here all their life were much more likely not to leave.

Somehow I can't explain to my wife that boutique hotels and business people will make our rental place in Hudson Square more pricey. How do you say that in Polish?

savage speaks, people listen. folks, this is a completely obstinate approach that obviates any perpendicular propensities that our dogs might unleash on this bohemian rhapsody in blue. that said, it behooves my clock to waltz back and fro, up hudson, down hudson, until my fingers bleed. blackberrys are the new cd players: gotta wear one and be on it 24/7 or you won't be cool, and and and, gotta talk LOUD, or people sipping juice with their gin and tonics might not hear the noise that funkmaster flex stole from public enema.

Which is precisiely the reason why residential real estate prices will not go down substantially in Manhattan - we're all working together very hard to price to your asses out - WAY out. You're already becoming a minority. But we'll definitely see to it that we further close the noose much tighter before we're done. A few of you will squeeze through with your rent controlled/stabilized apartments and whatnot. But there will eventually be so few of you left as to have exactly as much effect as a fruit fly would on the back of a brontosaurus.

As a life-long NYC resident, i am glad to hear of the possibility of turning the tides on the hipster influx.

Now, as someone who's family has been in NYC back when it was called New Amsterdam, could everyone who has come here since then kindly leave? Its gotten a bit too crowded over the ages. thanks. ;)

i am very happy to read that the decent hardworking people are taking back the city from the hipster horde. but the struggle continues until the last hipster is eradicated from every corner of the city. we shall overcome!

And once the last "hipster" has been removed from the city, what you have left is as bland as suburbia, only more crowded, dirty and expensive.
