The Arris Lofts in Long Island City is the luxury development Curbed readers love to hate, but the UnBroker has been holed up inside Arris since July, so let's get his take on the matter: "coming along and will provide lots of enjoyment." Interesting. Above is the current state of the courtyard, and what it will hopefully one day look like, rock pond and all.

I don't see any starting blocks, so 3 1/2 should be plenty deep enough for a lap pool, which you know, is used for swimming laps.

#7 from the looks of this pool it seems like only 3 people can be in the pool at a time since it's only a lap pool that's 3 1/2 feet deep. There's over 200 units in this building. Are you kidding me? there's inflatable pools that are bigger than that.

I agree with csk. I never post under Anonymous and never diss Arris or make up stupid shit about hookers and the like. I have only ever said that I like Arris but that the layouts, and kitchens did not suit my taste in the apartments available in the price range i wanted to pay.

Arris is NOT a great addition to the neighborhood, it is a money-pit with jackasses that live there. Arris as a whole is not worth the investment. Enjoy the hookers, thats about all Arris has going for it.

it should be noted, for the record, that people that have closed and are now living at arris, are NOT paying common charges. personally, i think this is the right thing to do. i am happy to have closed just before this subprime mess (i pushed and pushed to get an early closing which was accomodated) then to have a gym/pool/courtyard, etc. however, i will not pay until i see progress and are actually able to use said ammenities. so, i'm all good now, because the developer is working with us, that says a lot. very positive for the future. i am floored that i own such an amazing apt ever night when i arrive home. it is a true loft.

I'm glad people now realize how bad an area it is around Arris. Hookers are a problem there and everyone will admit this except those that bought at Arris. All the Arris owners were warned. All the facts about Arris were available before they bought. Now they have nobody to blame but themselves. They should have bought at Citylights or Gantry where these issues (hookers, location, etc) do not exist. They jumped the gun too early.
