A few weeks back, we had a photo of a bird at the entrance to Green-Wood Cemetery. Well, it's back and it's been ID'd as a guinea fowl. The report and pics on 23rd Street come from Concerned Citizens of Greenwood Heights, which reports that "According to a Jamaican worker tearing up the street, "that's a guinea chick [hen]...good eating. Lays good eggs." The bird was led back into the cemetery. All we can say to the hen is, stay away from those with hungry looks thinking about, say, Guinea Fowl Braised in Orange Sauce.

Geeze. the other one looks like grouse...how many fowl can Green-Wood attract?

Wait, they are part of the Audubon Society?

All the weird birds on the loose are making a bee-line to Green-Wood.

Keep the fowl reports coming, no mater if "Ethan Chickehawke" thinks they are fowl.

Shit! I meant "foul" for Ethan, not "fowl."

I guess I must be bird-brained.
