On the Market: This is Not a 40 Mercer Apartment
Monday, October 8, 2007, by Joey
Some may not enjoy the Soho views from Jean Nouvel's 40 Mercer, but for those who do (and have already bought in the building), one fellow 40 Mercerite has quite the offer for you. Check out this Elliman listing:
This is not an apartment. This is only available to the owners of apartments at 40 Mercer. It is private outdoor space with it's own cabana -South facing
And now for the asking price:
$350,000. Christopher Columbus, if only you knew...

Listing: 40 Mercer Street [Elliman]

Curbed BuildingCrasher: 40 Mercer [Curbed]

Doggie Heaven in 40 Mercer's Lobby [Curbed]
Only $936 per square foot. This ought to settle the debate on whether outdoor space is worth as much as or more than an equivalent amount of indoor space: NO.
This person is trying to sell a terrace for almost 1 grand per sf? Can someone slap him?
Curbed
Is this by the building company or is someone trying to flip a cabana?
Did someone buy a unit and a cabana and is now breaking the pairing, must be having money issues?
Annick: Apartments in this building are selling for over $2400 per square foot. Outdoor space for less than half is not ridiculous.
These brokers so fucking STUPID. It should say "its own cabana" not "it's own cabana."
whatever happened to putting up flyers in the laundry room?
Why is Elliman selling this when Corcoran Sunshine is the marketing and sales agent for the building?
On an unrelated note, does any one know whether Corcoran Sunshine's offices are closed for Columbus Day?
Because this is obviously a resale by the owner who bought the apt with the terrace. He/She is now trying to cash in on part of their investment.
Why doesn't Curbed dump Joey....he is such a negative dick. Hey asshole, get laid and get a real job.
9: I agree. Every negative article comes from Joey.
The dude is bad karma
