New York is Edgy Again, Albeit in Canada

To all those Curbed commenters who complain that the New York of today is nothing compared to the gritty New York of old, we give you ... Vancouver. That's where a big old-timey New York backdrop has been constructed for the production of Watchmen, the greatest graphic novel of all time that will soon be the greatest movie of all time (can you tell we're a little biased?). Gothamist has some fun pointing out a handful of anachronisms—such as the modern taxi fare decal you'll see after the jump—but seriously, we'll kill anyone who rains on our geek-out parade.
