Palace Hotel, Non-Gossip Girl Edition

Bonjour Capital and real estate developer/investor Joseph Chetrit are in contract to buy the landmarked 5 Beekman Street—the twin-towered 10-story structure that was the third city building to have an elevator installed—and they will most likely turn it into a hotel. The working title for the building, at the corner of Nassau Street, could just be "Beekman Palace." The conversion would bring the total number of new Lower Manhattan hotels to approx. 400 billion.
