Hip-Hop Vs. Gentrification

The Bronx apartment building that is recognized as "a birthplace of hip-hop may be saved from gentrification, for the time being." The city rejected the sale because the financing "was not viable under current rent restrictions." It's the first time a sale has been iced under the Mitchell-Lama affordable housing program for financial reasons. [NYT]
