Checking In: Kaufman's Decora Goes Green in the Burg

We have been watching the thing atop the light switch-like Decora in Williamsburg take shape for some time. A couple of weeks ago, a pastel green color started appearing at the top. Now, all is clear. The New Williamsburg's latest decorative element from architect Gene Kaufman is little green tiles, not unlike what one would find on the bathroom wall of a new Burg restaurant or club. No oil-sheen look to these tiles, though, like the Verdi on Adelphi in Fort Greene.
