Red Hook Riesling

Red Hook is getting a new "urban winery" later this year. It's supposed to open on Beard Street sometime in late summer. Sadly, the wine won't be made from Red Hook grapes as there are no vineyards in the neighborhood, only chicken coops. The grapes will come from vineyards in the Hudson River Valley and on Long Island. Some of the grapes will come by boat. [Dr. Vino via Brownstoner]
