Peaceful Rezoning

Who says rezoning is boring stuff for planners? Yesterday's City Council session on the rezoning of 125th Street got so nasty that the cops were called to clear the gallery so the Council could vote 47-2 in favor of the plan. City Council Member Inez Dickens of Harlem was escorted out a back door of City Hall after the vote. [NYDN]
