On the East Village Market #2: Gutted at the Christodora

2009_10_chris1.jpg

Earlier we spotlighted a penthouse listing in the A Building, a condominium that's been a small neighborhood controversy over the past couple years. Now here's another new-to-market condo in an East Village luxury building, but this one's in the baron of Avenue B, the Christodora House—a major neighborhood controversy for, oh, the past two decades or so. It's a 1BR, 1BA fourth-floor unit with 1,042 square feet, asking a healthy $1.348 million. According to the listing the apartment was "gut renovated by Manifold Architecture Studio and published in 2008 as part of James Grayson Trulove's 25 book series." Trulove also happens to be how how we react to pretty much every Christodora listing. There's another fourth-floor unit currently on the market, albeit lacking the cold and clean look (and fancy fixtures) of the renovated piece of work above. Want to see a floorplan?

It's right over here. >>
