A toast: to the late, great media personality Dick Clark, a man who not only hosted three decades of American Bandstand and another three decades of New Years Rockin' Eve, but a man with a vision—a vision to live in the weirdest little 1970s house on the Malibu bluff, a vision to bring Flintstones-style Bedrock design into this dark world, a vision too great for anyone but a legend. And now we begin a new chapter, one in which that rock-carved dwelling, which has been on the market for nearly three years, will belong to another person entirely. That's right, the house that from the inside looked like one giant animal skull has officially sold for $1.778M, or a little over half its original ask.
Of course, such celebrations can only last so long, especially because now everybody has to worry about the new buyer potentially knocking down this one-bedroom gem, which sits on 22.89 of mountaintop acres and boasts pretty amazing views. Please oh please let this new buyer build their inevitable all-glass monster around this house? Just look at it:
