Tiny Toronto House Becomes Brooklyn Urban Legend

2008_03_Not%20in%20Brooklyn%20Labeled.jpg

It looks like it could be a Brooklyn house, but the only trouble is that it's in Toronto, not in Gravesend, as the emails claim. It has reached the level of urban legend, however, thanks to emails floating around saying it's "the smallest house in Brooklyn." The borough's smallest, though, is the same house that was a Funky Friday listing in early February. In Toronto. The tweaked email (which we've gotten several times from several tipsters) reads:

You have to know this part of brooklyn to appreciate this! This house, located near the intersection of Ave T and Van Sicklen is believed to be Brooklyns smallest house...
The original email read, "This house, located near the intersection of Dufferin Street and Rogers Road is believed to be Toronto's smallest house." It still has its own website, is on the market for $173,000 Canadian and has generated great buzz in Brooklyn.
