On the Racked: Tribeca Whole Foods Revealed, Bittar Bleecker Opens, Getting an iPhone 3G, More
And now the latest from Racked, covering retail from the sidewalks up.

1) Tribeca: Racked has saturation coverage and dozens of pics in multiple photo galleries offering the full reveal of the new Tribeca Whole Foods opening its doors tomorrow morning. Check out the overall reveal, then head over to the bulk bins, stroll to the shawarma station, check out the kids aisle and the second floor cafe.
2) West Village: Bittar Bleecker was scheduled to open at noon today. Racked advises a trip to "pick up something pretty for yourself."
3) Everywhere: Don't forget to bring a blood sample to get the new iPhone 3G. Well, just a Social Security card, valid ID and a other stuff.
4) Union Square: The True Religion store which is coming in "Summer 2008" should be ready for the denim worshiping masses soon.

On the Racked: Tribeca Whole Foods Gears Up, Another TJ's Rant, Ikea's Cushion Ophelia Vag, More
And now the latest from Racked, covering retail from the sidewalks up.

1) Tribeca: Racked reports that "The well-oiled gears of the Whole Foods PR machine have started turning faster and faster in anticipation of the grocery chain's Tribeca opening on Wednesday, July 9th." Press releases have gone out about the 101 Warren location, which is second only to Bowery in size.
2) Union Square: Speaking of Manhattan food shopping, some people are peeved about ridiculous lines at Trader Joe's. Like the photo a Racked reader sent of a "75-people-deep LINE just to have the pleasure of shopping in the wide expanse of 14th Street's Trader Joe's."
3) MePa: So, the cast of Hair is going to be selling merchandise and performing on July 9th inside the Theory store at 40 Gansevoort. Is it about selling wrap tops or tickets or simply baffling?
4) Red Hook: Some people go to Ikea and have very dirty interpretations of things like "cushion Ophelia Vag."

On the Racked: Apple Vending Machines, 'Disgusting' Whole Foods, More Denim, Christmas in May
And now the latest from Racked, covering retail from the sidewalks up.

1) Midtown: There will be Apple vending machines at Macy's. Enough said.
2) Chelsea: A Racked reader rants about the Whole Foods and deliveries that sit outside for hours: "It is disgusting—everything from pallets of dry pasta to flats filled with strawberries to fish delivery chests. I'd imagine that something organic becomes non-organic after sitting on a side walk in NYC for a few hours."
3) Everywhere: A lot of high-end designer denim is about to make a play for NYC backsides all over the place with new flagship stores and more.
4) West Village: In case anyone missed it, Christmas came very, very early to Coach on Bleeker Street before the long weekend.

On the Racked: Muji on May 30, Nothing Doing at TJ's BK, Downmarket in Tribeca, More
And now the latest from Racked, covering retail from the sidewalks up.

1) Midtown: It is now official, the Muji flagship store will be opening on May 30 in the Renzo Piano-designed NYT building.
2) BoCoCa: It is hard to see how the TJ's on Atlantic Avenue is going to be open this summer when "progress on the grocery store seems permanently stalled."
3) Tribeca: One can draw any conclusions that one wishes about this latest development, but Tribeca is going to be getting a 7-Eleven. First, Bed Bath & Beyond and, now, this.
4) Upper West Side: Will it be a supermarket death match at Columbus Village? An Associated will be opening in the complex that is supposed to be anchored by Whole Foods. Interesting.

On the Racked: Tribeca Whole Foods in July, More Apple BK Rumors, Out of Sight Bookstores, More
And now, the latest from Racked, covering shopping and retail from the sidewalks up.

1) Tribeca: Racked reports that July 9 is the opening date for the Tribeca Whole Foods. That would be 69,000 square feet of grocery goodness on Warren Street.
2) Downtown Brooklyn: The latest Brooklyn location being pushed for an Apple store with vigor is 345 Adams, a government-owned building being renovated by Muss Development. Other possible tenants include Brooks Brothers, Uniqlo and H&M.
3) Manhattan: It's not so much that the bookstores are disappearing as much as they're moving out of sight, generally from street level to upper floors or basements.
4) Carroll Gardens: "It's not as if Brooklynites needed another spot on Smith Street to break out the plastic, but we won't hold that against good-looking newcomer Epaulet." Racked has a full photo gallery of the "chic men's and women's boutique."
